This is the outside view of our condo. It has 23 floors...we were on the 20th floor...it was an awesome view!
We found a candy shop, and being the chocoholics that we both are, we bought a turtle to share. We each had 2 small bites and threw the rest away. So very sinful...and delish!
We took a walk on the pier and tried to take some pics, but the wind was blowing a steady 20-25 miles an hour....it was rainy and overcast the first couple of days. A nice couple finally stopped and offered to take a couple of pics for us after we took the first one ourselves.
When we stopped at that candy store to buy the turtle, Dwayne found some white-chocolate covered doggie bones (safe for dogs), so we bought a bag for Scarlette. This is me holding it for her so she can lick all the chocolate off, lol.
It was impossible to keep Scarlette out of Dwayne's duffle bag. She kept digging around in his clothes, making a little nest, and then snuggling down in them to take naps. :)
We went swimming in the indoor pool one night. We figured it would be heated....NOT!!!
This is the skirt to my bathing suit. The advantage to holding the camera is nobody gets to take a full body shot of you, lol. Excuse my fat stomach roll.
View of the ocean from our pool deck.
View from the chairs on our balcony on the 20th floor.
Uh oh.
Oops...
Oh my..
Yes...that's full-fat cream cheese on a WHITE bagel.
Turns out the best fried shrimp on the whole beach were being served downstairs out the pool bar!!
These things were huge!! 11 jumbo Gulf shrimp w/ fries for $11.00. Best deal on the beach!
Of course, we had to wash them down with SOMEthing!
Frozen raspberry margarita, anyone???
Now some pics of healthy food to try and redeem myself. :)
Back to the crap food, lol. We had lunch at Spinnaker's on the beach yesterday. The view was gorgeous but the food was so-so. We shared everything we ordered, so I let Dwayne do the ordering since he's such a picky eater...remember, NO VEGGIES!! We had a bowl of lobster bisque and a half order of fried shrimp tossed in a chile aioli sauce, along with 1/2 a fried grouper sandwich with fries.
Dwayne brought home some of our leftover shrimp from the pool bar downstairs, cut it up into little pieces and fed it to the baby.
I took pics of all the souvenirs I bought on the trip, for the 2 challenge winners, and a couple of my close friends. Since this post is soooooo long already, I'll put up the souvenir pics in my next post. 'Nite friends! :)
