Just a quick note before I leave for work in an effort to get back to my Friday morning weigh-ins and actually post about it...good or bad.
This week is no bueno. I was 256 lbs. on Monday and I'm exactly the same this morning....256. Let's put a positive spin on this, shall we?
I finally stopped GAINING.
And I didn't cave in to smoking again like I've wanted to do every single day this week w/ work stress.
So there you have it...I'm a 256 lb. non-smoker headed into the office for another day of crazy. Have a good one friends. :)

Enjoy the weather while you can. Did you see what's heading our way next week? Ugh!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes..you didn't gain. That's phenomenal for a newly found non-smoker. I gained 20lbs when I quit. Eek!
Good job! With the stress you had this week, that is a WIN! Next week will be better.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear from you - I was about to send a posse. You'll get this food thing - just focus on the huge fact that you don't smoke!!! You can become an obnoxious ex-smoker like me. (actually it still sounds good to me every now and then!) Take care and I hope ya'll are thawing out.
ReplyDeletecongrats on becoming a non-smoker! I've never smoked, but I know plenty of people who do, and I know it's a hard habit to kick. My FIL had some very serious health problems and was worried that quitting smoking would make those problems worse--of course we all agreed it was another "excuse" to not quit, but if having a serious disease doesn't even prompt someone like him to quit, I can't imagine just how hard it is in general. Kudos!
ReplyDeleteWay to turn it around...no gain!!! I am very proud of you, especially considering the hellacious week you have had! And the fact that you are not smoking--even better!!!
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Girl!!!
Isn't it frustrating when you have been doing so good and staying on track only to step on the scale and have it not budge!! It happened to me this week also! Keep at it! Also congrats on the no smoking! That is a big step!

Have a great day!!

Are u taking 5htp? It's a natural supplement to help your body start producing serotonin again. Also, sunflower seeds/carrot sticks help with the physical aspect of the addiction. Vitamin B complete, highly recommended as well. :) Good luck to you!
ReplyDeleteyou'll get there...don't quit.
ReplyDeleteHave a good day.
There wad bound to be some gain right after quitting smoking, but in the long run how much healthier you will be! And now that it you've hit your NO MORE GAINING point, know that your Blogger friends will be here to kick your butt on the weight loss again!
ReplyDeleteYou know, sometimes we just need. . .
ReplyDelete"Great job on maintaining!!!!!" Just think of it as practice for when you get to your goal! :)
(Just started following. . .going to go take a look around.)
Hi Tammy. I enjoy reading your blog, and understand the frustration with the scales. But it does take time, just hang in there :) Not gaining is definitely a plus!
ReplyDeleteNOT GAINING! Whoo hoo!
ReplyDeleteLove a positive attitude!!!
Have a pretty day!
Kristin
