Bunches of Blog Awards

I am so humbled, as well as embarassed, right now. Over the last couple of weeks, some of my excellent friends here in Blogland have bestowed some very special awards on me and I've been too wrapped up in my own mess to go pick them up or show my appreciation for them on my blog. Please forgive my absence and non-acknowledgement.

I'm still pretty sick and haven't made it back to the gym since Sunday. I was feeling better this morning, but as the afternoon wore on, so did my umphh. I just want this crap in my chest that I keep hacking up to GO AWAY. Here's my calorie update:

Friday 1500
Saturday 1409
Sunday 1550
Monday 1544
Today 1560

I'm still hanging in there calorie-wise, but today has been rough on the eating front. My appetite has been raging all day and I've had thoughts of ordering a pizza and eating the entire thing. Which, by the way, I haven't ordered a pizza in 6 months....not since I started blogging. But I sure thought about it today. I think I'm done eating for the day, but no promises just yet. That scale better have moved downward by Friday morning, or Friday night will be full of pizza and beer, lol. Totally kidding....kinda'.

My friend at 266, who has emailed me personally, has also blessed me with not one, but TWO awards. Many, many thanks to her for thinking my blog is worthy. And PLEASE don't make me follow the rules on any of these. I'm doing my best just to get these posted w/o letting any snot drip on my keyboard.

The significant milestone award was given to me for losing enough weight to finally fit on and ride roller coasters for the first time in 20 years. I'm still tickled over that.

Jen at Watch My Butt Shrink gave me the Superior Scribbler award:

I can't say that I'd call my scribbling superior....toilet paper, maybe? But I'm thankful nonetheless to Jen for thinking of me and passing this honor along. :)

Friend of the Bear, who has sent me personal emails several times during this rough time, and even before that, has blessed me with 2 awards:

...and another beautiful Deborah award....

I don't know what to say other than thank you from the bottom of my tattered heart. If I could hug all of you, I would....but then again, you probably don't want my cooties right now. :)

Things are going to get better for me soon....I can feel it. I feel sure that 2010 is going to be a much better year for me in many, many ways...but at the same time, I'm thankful worlds over for the weight loss that 2009 brought me. It's going to propel me into bigger, better and brighter things in the year ahead, and I'm glad I have all of you to share it with. :)

  2. Hi Tammy. I think 2009 has been a year of change in which you've worked hard and made brave decisions to move you ever closer to being the person you want to be and live the life you want to live.

To take on a challenge like dealing with food addiction is the really amazing thing you've done this year. And to keep going on it in the face of so many other issues going on in your life ... I think you're really going to have to chalk this year up as being quite incredible.

And this year isn't over yet - still time to get a few more pounds off.

Brilliant on those calorie numbers. You deserve a good number on the scale ... here's rooting for you!

    Best wishes,
    Bearfriend xx

  11. Congrats on all your awards!!!
Sounds like you're doing well - your calorie counts look good, so now just focus on making those calories as healthy as possible.
A couple slices of pizza aren't all that bad, you know - add some veggies to it, and blot off the oil!

  12. Congrats on your plethora of awards! You totally deserve each and every one!
Love the new pictures you posted too!!
And do try to keep the snot on the keyboard thing to a minimum as it tends to make the keys stick together. Very frustrating.
    Hugs-
    Amy

  14. You deserve every one of those awards girl! You are doing great, sometimes you just have to concentrate on putting one foot infront of the other, but you will get there.
And your right, 2010 is a new year for you! Every year I come up with a word that is MINE for the year. Last year mine was 'accomplish' because I had a list I wanted to accomplish while I was still 39. I don't know what word I will choose for this year, but a word that would definatly work for you is "FRESH!" You have a fresh new start on the year, with the 'fresh' new you! You are going to step into 2010 with a purpose, be the best you can be for YOU :)

  18. Congratulations on all your lovelies. I hope you're feeling better... gotta bet tip top for Christmas and New Years!

And by the way... I have it on good authority that 2010 will be your year. I'm always more hopeful going into an even numbered year for some reason, so I'm looking forward to a great one too.

PS: One good benefit of having the flu? No eaty.
