I weighed in at 229.0 this morning, so I gained 1 lb. I've been flitting around with the same 1-2 lbs. for the last 3 weeks. Starting to get irritated with myself. I'm changing my calories to 1600 a day this week and will continue to work out.
Interestingly enough, Dwayne emailed me yesterday and said he checked out the gym close to his house and took the tour, but hasn't joined yet. Then earlier in the week he took a 2 mile walk. And he said he wants to start eating better (mind you....this still means no veggies for him)....so he said on his way over to my house tonight, he's picking up some fresh fish to grill out for us, along with some salad and fresh fruit. Hooray!! We're grilling chicken out for dinner on Saturday along with some corn on the cob for him and some veggie kabobs for me, along with another salad. Sounds like it's going to be a good eating weekend and it's such a relief to hear that after 5 long months, he's finally climbing on board!
Let's hope all of you have a better weigh-in than I have this week!! Have a fabulous weekend!! :)

So glad to hear Dwayne's hopping on board - I bet it will help you tremendously!
ReplyDeleteIt is frustrating to play with the same couple of pounds week after week...hopefully this will be the week you break through.
Hey Tammy,
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are doing great even though you showed a gain on the scale. I'm positive this is the way to live...And be an inspiration at the same time.
Great to hear you are pushing yourself at the gym.
:)
Be well and happy.

I'm sorry about the gain...but you will lose it next week..:) It is frustrating I know..I gained a little last week too.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that Dwayne is joining you on eating healthier...its much easier to do it when you have support:)
That is great that Dwayne is hopping on board. It is always better when there is someone there to motivate! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so sorry to read about the gain...you have to do something big - change in your program to get past those few pounds...change foods, change habits, turn things upside down...anything...
ReplyDeleteNothing like a little gain to grab you by the collar and get your attention. C'mon, Tammy... you can do this. Power through this roadblack and get this show back on the road! You can do it!
ReplyDeleteOMW Tammy, So excited with you about what you
ReplyDeleteposted regarding Dwayne!!! I truly expected
this would happen sometime, but yay for fairly quickly! This is a great NSV!! haha
I'm not even worried about the veggies at this point, y'know?
Be well, my friend.
Sounds like some great meals planned for the weekend. Anything on the grill is a hit.
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame about the gain, but you will deal with that and get past it.
ReplyDeleteThe big news is Dwayne?
Looking at the gym?
Looking at healthier foods?
Tammy you are reaping the rewards. He can see how good you are looking and how much healthier you are. He wants to join you and that is SO BIG!!!
You haven't nagged him or coaxed and cajoled him, you have done this by your example. Those weekend blips could now become a thing of the past. Instead of you trying to fit in with his eating habits he is following yours. you are both going to gain so much from this if he follows through. I so hope he does darling girl.
You both deserve gorgeous happy healthy partners.
That pound you gained is going to be gone with a whole lot more and very soon....
Hugs

It's nice to have a workout buddy. With all your hard work I think you will drop those 2 by the end of next week. Happy to hear you increased your calories. Stay strong you will reach that goal. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi Tammy. Wow! That is BIG news about Dwayne. It is going to be so much easier with him on board. Eating healthier at weekends and exercising together ... WOW! I'm so happy to hear this.
ReplyDeleteTough about your slight gain. Especially when you're doing everything right - putting in so much effort.
All you can do is keep on with it and know that you will get the results eventually.
I know you can do it!
Best wishes,
Bearfriend xx
It's always nice to have your partner support you and be on board with the whole healthy lifestyle thing. Good luck with this next week; you know what you need to do.
ReplyDeleteSometimes the best way we can lead is by example! You must be making a great impression on Dwayne for sure! Way to go!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your 1 pound gain. If you're only flirting with one pound you're doing better than me. I've been flirting with the same 3 pounds!LOL! I think I finally broke up with them, and you can do the same!! Go Tammy go!!!
I am glad you have someone close to support you. It's so important in our journey to have that support system. Sounds like he is going to be just that. Yay!
ReplyDeleteGreat quote today...I pray that little umpf into your life to get past that number and continue on your way down! I know you'll make it!
ReplyDeleteI'm with jack take this as a great opportunity to re-commit and move closer to your goals :)
ReplyDeleteHey Tammy you are doing awesome. Don't be irritated with yourself. Look at this little plateau as maintenance. After all once we get the weight off maintenance is the hardest part or so they so. I can't even get it off! I'm so happy that you have someone to go to the gym with and very happy Dwayne is now on board. You go girl! Keep it up.
