Irritated With Myself

I weighed in at 229.0 this morning, so I gained 1 lb. I've been flitting around with the same 1-2 lbs. for the last 3 weeks. Starting to get irritated with myself. I'm changing my calories to 1600 a day this week and will continue to work out.

Interestingly enough, Dwayne emailed me yesterday and said he checked out the gym close to his house and took the tour, but hasn't joined yet. Then earlier in the week he took a 2 mile walk. And he said he wants to start eating better (mind you....this still means no veggies for him)....so he said on his way over to my house tonight, he's picking up some fresh fish to grill out for us, along with some salad and fresh fruit. Hooray!! We're grilling chicken out for dinner on Saturday along with some corn on the cob for him and some veggie kabobs for me, along with another salad. Sounds like it's going to be a good eating weekend and it's such a relief to hear that after 5 long months, he's finally climbing on board!

  1. So glad to hear Dwayne's hopping on board - I bet it will help you tremendously!

    It is frustrating to play with the same couple of pounds week after week...hopefully this will be the week you break through.

  3. I'm sorry about the gain...but you will lose it next week..:) It is frustrating I know..I gained a little last week too.

    I am glad that Dwayne is joining you on eating healthier...its much easier to do it when you have support:)

  9. It's a shame about the gain, but you will deal with that and get past it.

    The big news is Dwayne?
    Looking at the gym?
    Looking at healthier foods?
    Tammy you are reaping the rewards. He can see how good you are looking and how much healthier you are. He wants to join you and that is SO BIG!!!

    You haven't nagged him or coaxed and cajoled him, you have done this by your example. Those weekend blips could now become a thing of the past. Instead of you trying to fit in with his eating habits he is following yours. you are both going to gain so much from this if he follows through. I so hope he does darling girl.
    You both deserve gorgeous happy healthy partners.

    That pound you gained is going to be gone with a whole lot more and very soon....

  11. Hi Tammy. Wow! That is BIG news about Dwayne. It is going to be so much easier with him on board. Eating healthier at weekends and exercising together ... WOW! I'm so happy to hear this.

    Tough about your slight gain. Especially when you're doing everything right - putting in so much effort.

    All you can do is keep on with it and know that you will get the results eventually.

    Sorry to hear about your 1 pound gain. If you're only flirting with one pound you're doing better than me. I've been flirting with the same 3 pounds!LOL! I think I finally broke up with them, and you can do the same!! Go Tammy go!!!

  17. Hey Tammy you are doing awesome. Don't be irritated with yourself. Look at this little plateau as maintenance. After all once we get the weight off maintenance is the hardest part or so they so. I can't even get it off! I'm so happy that you have someone to go to the gym with and very happy Dwayne is now on board. You go girl! Keep it up.
