Fail To Plan = Plan To Fail

I'm up from last week....up to 252.2.  I swear, I'm like the worst challenge host ever, lol.  I apologize for that.  I do take a tiny bit of comfort in the fact that I am STILL on my cycle (It's been 10 days now)....but I also know that you can't eat like a complete moron for 3 days (last Fri, Sat and Sun), and expect to fully recover in the next 4 days.  Let this be a lessen to you, lol.

About the title of this post....planning is the biggest key to successful eating for me.  Often times I get in a rut and just can't think of anything good or yummy to fix at home.  Luckily, when I did my challenge back in April, I took pics of everything I ate!  I was able to go back last night and get some ideas and I was shocked at how good my food looked....and to know that I ate all of these things and still lost 15 lbs that month!  You really can make better use of your calories when you're eating good, wholesome foods at home and not as much frozen, processed crap or fast food.  I decided to post some of the pics in case anyone else is interested in some new ideas.  Let me know how you did on your weigh-in!!!  :)

  3. I'm doing better this month but I had tread water for 2 months before that. Didn't gain but hardly lost. Your challenge came at the right time.

  12. All that food looks amazing. Time to get cookin'.

Don't apologize for anything - you're a great challenge host because it's not always about how much weight we lose but how much progress we make in all areas. You've made decisions about how to get back to your exercise routine and plan to get back to healthier meals so you're making progress. It will happen - hang in there.

There will be no dance tonight but it will happen next week for sure. Here's my update: http://finallyfiguringitout.blogspot.com/2010/08/quit-update.html

(I fixed the typo on my title but it's still shows up wrong in the link....hmmmm...I'm not quitting though - it's a QUICK update. ;)

    Have a great weekend!

  16. Glad you got some food inspiration again. It really is incredible how much more you can eat when you're eating healthy! Right now I've been eating 1400 calories a day 'cause I'm trying to lose a few pounds, and with the plan I'm on, as long as I eat at the times I'm supposed to, I never feel hungry. Everything is so filling and delicious. I wish you better luck this week!
