Hello friends!!! I've had a successful end to Day 5, and we're only 2 DAYS AWAY from our first weigh-in!! Isn't this exciting????? I can NOT wait til Friday morning!! Make sure that all of you stop by and leave a comment with your weight on Friday, no matter what your normal weigh day is. Our list has grown to 27 participants, and it's easier for you all to leave your weight here on Friday's post. I've got a list with all of your names, blogs and starting weights down...I'll update it with your first weigh-in on Friday after you pop over!
I'm really tired tonight. I totally shredded my muscles in the gym tonight and I'm wore slap out. I was starving after I got out of the gym and got home, so I loaded up on protein...I've heard that's good to do with weight training.
Breakfast was at 8am...you guessed it...another egg white scramble!! lol
3 egg whites, 4 oz grilled chicken breast, less than 1/8 c. of feta cheese, bell pepper, onion, mushrooms, black olives.
Calories: 241
At 11am I had 1 c. of pineapple mixed with 1 c. of cantaloupe
Calories: 138
I had a tuna salad sandwich at 1pm. 1 can of Star Kist solid white albacore tuna, 1 boiled egg, 2 Tbsp. of lite mayo, a little diced onion & dill pickle, on a whole wheat sandwich thin.
Calories: 425
Right after I ate the sandwich, I had a lemon torte parfait. Good Lord these things are heavenly. If you haven't tried them, and you don't mind some processed food once in a while...these are a MUST!
Calories: 100
I had my heaviest meal at 4pm today...another one of my sister Amy's suggestions...and it was delish! I sauteed 6 oz. of chicken tenders w/ some fresh mushrooms. I added some adobo, garlic powder & onion powder. (Pam informed me that Adobo seasoning has some salt in it, but since it's a blend, and not straight salt, I'll be using it more than the straight salt. My goal is not to eliminate salt completely from my diet...just to eat it more moderately). Then I cut up 8 spears of leftover grilled asparagus and added it to the pan when the chicken was done. Then I added in some water to scrape off the chicken and mushroom bits from the bottom of the pan and poured in 1/2 can of 98% fat free Campbell's cream of mushroom soup to make my sauce. I poured this over a 2 oz. portion of multi-grain angel hair pasta and sprinkled some oregano on top.
Calories: 521
I had a little chocolate craving today, so at 5pm I had a Hershey's Dark Chocolate Nugget w/ Almonds.
Calories: 45
After the gym, at 8pm, I loaded up on protein. I had 3 egg whites, 3 oz. of chicken tenders, 1/8 c. of Kraft 2% shredded cheddar cheese & some fresh mushrooms.
Calories: 201
I'm about to fix my 2 c. of decaf coffee for the evening. The 2 Tbsp. of creamer is 30 cals.
Total Calories: 1701
Water Intake: (4) 32 oz. glasses of water
Exercise: 1 hr. 10 mins. at gym - 40 mins of strength training/30 mins of cardio
Before I forget, and just in case you haven't been by her blog, go check out 266!! She's listed on my blogroll.....SHE HIT HER GOAL WEIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!! It's always so exciting and inspiring when one of our friends gets to experience this joyous milestone....when all of their hard work and dedication finally comes to fruition. She is the picture of tenacity and has one of the best attitudes I've seen in Blogland. Make sure to stop by and congratulate her on her HUGE accomplishment!! She's actually doing this challenge with us, because she's planning on dropping a few more lbs, even after her goal weight. Good for her!! I'm glad she's on board!!
You know what tonight means, don't you friends??? Only 2 more days 'til weigh-in!! Let's hit it hard, get our sweat on, watch our portions, and sail down that scale!! We can do it!! I believe in you!! :)

Hey Tammy, thanks for stopping by my blog! Sure I will join your challenge as well, I will weigh myself on Friday morning on my scale and post in your comments. You can add me to the list as well! You don't have to publish this comment if you don't want, I just figured this was the best way to respond to your comment on my blog and make sure you seen it! Thanks for the invite.
ReplyDeleteWait, do we report our weight for the challenge on Thursdays or Fridays? For some reason, I thought it was Fridays. Can you clarify please?

Thanks for visting again - clearly you have been busy! It's gotta be tiring keeping track of everything and posting all those pics, so you get a pass.
ReplyDeleteI'll post my weight Friday, hopefully it'll be back down to what my sidebar update from last week still says!
I'd say that you have more reason to be excited about this coming Friday than I do. It's been a shaky week for me so far.
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you're having such a great week though!
Hey--I'm really enjoying looking and drooling over your food. They don't have all this cool stuff where I shop--I only wish I could get all that processed food! Count me in for the challenge--I'm at 263 today :).
ReplyDeleteThank you for the shout out! You are such a sweetheart, Tammy!
ReplyDeleteI love the extra positivity this challenge has given you! You are so enthusiastic and I find it totally contagious! You, as always, ROCK!
