How's everyone doing on the first week of the challenge?? I'm doing GREAT!!
I was away from the house today for about 4 hours running errands and doing my exercise. I knew Billie couldn't make it to the gym tonight so I chose to take advantage of the sunshine and walked 4 miles at the park. Since I was out for so long I had lunch out today. I chose Larry's Subs...an 8" on wheat, Animal (ham and turkey). The sandwich comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, 2 slices of provolone cheese, mayo, spicy mustard & italian dressing normally. Their nutrition guide lists it at 389 cals. I asked the owner of the franchise if that calorie count included the mayo and cheese. He said he believed it did, since those items automatically come on the sandwich. I was seriously questioning that in my mind. So I ordered the sandwich on wheat with lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, spicy mustard...and then I opted for the lite mayo (they use Kraft lite mayo), and NO italian dressing. I then added 200 cals to what their nutrition guide said and my best guesstimate is 589 for that sandwich. I also ordered a small Coke to go with it, and only filled it halfway, and didn't drink all of it. I'm judging that at 6 oz. of Coke.
Breakfast was at 8am...and SURPRISE!! It wasn't egg whites, lol. I decided to have a Chobani pineapple yogurt and 1 c. of fresh strawberries.
I ate the ham and turkey sub around 11:15 am.

I got back home from all my running at 2:30p and immediately grabbed a Ritz cracker/cheese thingie.
Right after I inhaled this, I made a fantastic salad w/ 3 c. fresh spinach, 2 sliced fresh mushrooms, 1/3 c. carrots, 1 boiled egg, 1/2 c. of cucumbers, 1/2 c. tomatoes, 1 Tbsp. of Hormel 50% less fat bacon pieces and 2 Tbsp. of Marie's Lite Blue Cheese dressing.
At 4:30p I had an apple and an orange.
Dinner was at 6pm. I broiled 6 oz. of cod that I sprinkled with garlic powder, onion powder & a little bit of blackening seasoning. My sides were 1 c. of steamed brussel sprouts and some Roma tomato slices.
I had my usual 2 c. of coffee w/ 2 Tbsp. of creamer tonight...30 calories.
Total Calories: 1652
Water Intake: (4) 32 oz. glasses
Exercise: Walked 4 miles in just over 1 hour
6 great days completed...1 more to go! I hope everyone is doing fantastic this week and we can all show a strong start to this challenge with our first weigh-in on Friday....Nite friends! :)
